is it just me...
is it just me, or does anyone else find cold jello right from the fridge to be a refreshing spring treat?
is it just me, or does anyone get peeved about the fact that jello powder has too little gelatin, so you undercompensate by adding less water (so it firms up better)but then end up basically eating super sweet jello?
still though. it IS refreshing.

Trust me, it IS just you! Jello.........eeeeoooo...
Y'er a better man than I if you can eat that stuff! Now take oriental gelatin products and THAT is stiff upper lip jello......much better than that Jello brand American stuff.
ha! good one! im with you on that. i hate jello, it's so jiggly..and eeeew. i think your disappointment with the lack of gelatin is cos you're subconsciously longing for the asian jelly which has a certain *crunch* when you bite in...appropriate amount of gelatin, rather than nasty googly jello :P
dL
PS: i hate it when restaurants or buffets serve jello as "dessert" and cube them up to make them look more elegant
My favorite way to eat Jello is after you add the water and it dissolves all the powder - then I get a spoon and sort of just eat it like soup. Used to do that when I was a kid (when my mom wasn't looking) and I have to admit, I still like it.
: )
I'm not such a big fan of Jello... ok in a pinch but...not if I have a choice. But I was going to suggest that you get some plain gelatin from the grocery store...they usually have it near the jam making stuff...and add it to your jello mix...result...firmer jello that isn't too sweet.
Take care
my friend nancy actually passed me a packet of gelatin monday morning in class! thanks nance. it works great.
Lately, whenever I eat jello, it was made with vodka. Still, refreshing.
