the city of love...

I am spending valentines day 2006 in PARIS; the city of love. that is really special. this city is so beautiful, its crazy - i love it! I get to spend it with 50 other people tonight-the last nite of our tour. but somehow, the more people there are, the more empty it seems to be sometimes... I don't know whats going thru your mind today...but i've been encouraged by a song in my travels that has deepened me, molded me, and just plain helped me deal with solitude.

solitude in many ways really, in as many different ways you can experience solitude, i've probably felt it in the past 5 weeks; but in the good way, the character forming way.

I hope this song helps you think about love today in a new and fresh way. In a way that makes you long and hold out for the real thing.

WALK WITH ME by Sandra McCracken

Walk with me quiet, walk with me slow
With watered down coffee and words of gold
I can feel the edges of these things
When I hear you speak to me, so walk with me

Walk with me empty, walk with me strong
The hush of our voices, when the day seems so long
It is like a balm, it is like a jewel
It unravels all I thought I knew

Will you lead me, beside the still waters
Where the oil, it runs over, and my cup overflows
You restore my soul

Tell me the story, where old is made new
The promise of ages, and all things that are true
When the shadows fall and the wrecking ball
Swings and tears me through the heart

Will you lead me, beside the still waters
Where the oil, it runs over, and my cup overflows
You restore my soul

This one is for dL: after living in Vancouver once during winter months, we know wearing a touque at the temps you mentioned is totally appropriate. Cold plus humidity equals double brrrrrrr!!! Stay warm!!

Yeah, I'm definitely colder when it's right around the freezing mark than when it's -50. Humid cold is definitely colder feeling! But I'm a wimp either way. Hi Debbie! ~Leah
