Travelling

I was reading up on one of my favourite singer/songwriters recently and I chanced up on Laurell's latest musings.

In one of the last lines, she writes: "Funny how sometimes we need to travel outwardly to travel inwardly."

Thats not only deep, but its sort of been the theme of my life in the past couple of years. Literally travelling from one end of the continent and back, as well as to other continents.

I've learnt so much not only about this journey called life, but about who I am and how the concept of faith fits into all of it. Part of being a more effective leader is always to first understand yourself and how to manage yourself. After that task is done, it becomes possible to help and manage others.

I've learnt what my calling in life is about and where I fit in the cosmos. My journey continues to simply be... the progress of a pilgrim

Laurell is a gifted singer/songwriter that actually was a part of the first season of Canadian Idol, where she made it to the top 100. Anyway, she is way better than any Canadian Idol or American Idol put together. Mostly because she hails from my hometown of North Vancouver and she writes her own songs. eat your heart out kelly clarkson! (actually, I like kelly, so never mind)
