blog spam
I just got 3 comments on my last blog from anonymous sources which were obvious attempts at SPAM. sick...whats the world coming to? What do they do? Create some program that causes your browser to select "next blog" and then automatically leave ads on people's blogs? I guess it just means more work to maintain accurate entries into my blog. One thing that I love about blogging is the chance for people to interact with your writing. Thats the neatest part, and letting people comment who are not members or bloggers is a great idea. I guess every upside has its downside.

The guest book on a friend's web page has been inundated with spams selling everything from vitamins to books to viagra. He has had a terrible time so these programmes are out there unfortunately. All the best on blocking them from your blog.
actually, yes that IS how those programs work. i've seen them on other people's blogs too. any attempt to generate traffic to a site eh? there's a code that we use here at HCJB that you type in to "jumble" up all email addresses that appear on a page so that spam programs can't figure out the real email address and spam you, but knowing that...there's proly already a program out there trying to counter it. oh well, it gives people jobs, and keeps e-companies in business constantly working against internet-crime/harassment :)
PS: spam happens too when you have your site listed in the blogger public directory
