shortbread and tea

As i'm typing this blog, i can't help but realise the odd situation i'm in. I'm Caronport, SK, drinking spiced Indian tea made with cardamon and lychee, and eating Scottish shortbread.

and the tea is made like you would have it in india...about 50% milk. and the shortbread is the kind that you can't buy outside of Scotland... its the less ambitious sister of the famous walker's brand, who decided to keep their product local, and thus highly controlled in their production and recipe.

wow...its just weird, and doesn't even make a lot of sense. Its the kind of scenario that you probably wouldn't see in everyday life. I don't imagine the Scots have much of a relationship with the Indians.

well, thats kind of my life i guess. weird and doesn't make sense. but hey...its my life and its what it is for what it is.

I know as interestingly as its shaping out to be, its going to be interesting where this road takes me...I don't see a lot of other people walking the same path, but thankfully there are a bunch walking in the same direction.

On a different note, I've decided to find a way include all of you in my recent trips to India and Europe, and I'm going to post photos and tell you about them. i might post a few a day, or one a day, i'm not really sure but we'll see.

These photographs are my most cherished ones. they combine (in my opinion) a combination of artistic flair and originality, but more importantly they tell a story. a story of life, and death sometimes - and pretty much everything else that falls in between. I hope you enjoy them, feel free to interact with them the way you would interact with a friend if you were at the Musee d'Orsay in Paris or even the Anne Frank Museum in Amsterdam. (I actually had other museums in mind, but i forgot that none of them would have a photography section, as most of it is OLD stuff)

Critique, compliment, even add your own interpretation of what you see in them. It'll be fun, and it is a perfect segment for "a pilgrim's progress"
