noise

have you ever noticed how you don't know that a fridge fan is going...until it shuts off?

its kinda like life. well not quite. but close. you seldom don't realise things are happening all around you...until one day - it stops. and then you wonder how you ever got along not knowing stuff like that happens.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am very excited. about three nights ago, i became an uncle! no, no, no. debbie didn't get pregnant and have a kid. its actually my cousin evelyn. that still counts right? I mean i'm a distant uncle, but still....i think it works.

This is Taylor Kwan. He is a cutie. But soon... he will be a noisy cutie.

aw man, that kid is SO CUTE! i cooked a stir fry for the Kwans today, and had an idea - i put a red and green pepper on either side of his head in his bassinet, and took a picture! sooo cute! his head is smaller than a red pepper!

i was having this conversation with the legitimate uncle - brother of the father. and i asked him "so am i Taylor's aunty, or 2nd cousin?" we deduced that my child would be Tay's 2nd cousin, and that i will remain his aunty. but i think it reality, im actually his 2nd cousin, and my child would be his cousin, twice removed.

can someone else shed some light on this? i never really understood this situation... i guess i'd call myself an aunty cos she's the closest thing i have to a sister.

anyways...

debbie, i believe you are a "cousin aunty". your children will be 2nd cousins with Taylor. my family is into geneologies and that's how they describe these relations.
