Brooklyn
Drove into brooklyn yesterday to get a shredder serviced. It was a rough trip, got lost and everything, but i'm sure somewhere in there it was formative for me. here are some pics of the office as promised.
our music room, that also doubles as a meeting room
one angle from my desk

my desk!
I'm going into the city today, but i'm not driving, we are taking the train in like a normal person. Its gonna be fun and i'm super excited.

nice setup.... very communal. i guess if you sneezed, the entire staff (not just one person) would say, "bless you!."
Its true, its a very open office concept. You would think that it wouldn't be good for privacy. but it works out pretty good. if they need to have short casual but personal talks they go outside to the sidewalk, and just chat there. there isn't too much traffic where the office is. for longer meetings we use the music room - which is somewhat soundproof, or the basement where we store our stuff. it works pretty good! the shelves u see used to be meant for pots for a florist. so the whole space had huge industrial shelves. we used those, and added desktops to the shelves. and you get...desks! its pretty cool
Nice office Darrell.
When will we get to see pics of your pad?
haha...i'm in the laundry room right now, its not a pretty sight, but i'll be moving into my room soon. i'm staying with my pastor and using his daughter's ex room. so its pretty girly - it won't be much to look at. just a place to stay temporarily until plans for the future are more firm. i'm only supposed to be here officially till january.
