Ice Bergs in Glacier Bay
Here are some more photos from our honeymoon. While we were on our cruise to Alaska the ship went through Glacier Bay. Here are some of the different icebergs that we were able to see. All credit for the photos goes to my husband Darrell, he did a great job of capturing them!

Remember, what you are able to see above the water is only 10% of the ice berg!

These ice bergs are so pretty with the nice blue colour! The water is so densely packed that the oxoygen is pushed out of it, which apparently causes it to turn this colour.

These ice bergs were all around the ship as we were cruising along in this specific area.

This is one of the sources of the ice bergs in the water, which was also our destination, but unfortunatley due to being the first trip for the season up Glacier Bay, we weren't able to go closer to the glacier (this then meant turning the big ship around in the Bay surrounded by Ice bergs! They had to send people out in a boat to direct the ship, and we did hit a few of them).

Here is a closer view of the BIG glacier in the mountains.

On the other side of the ship was another source of the ice bergs, another Big glacier.

Here I am on the ship with one of the glaciers in the background.

This photo was taken as the ship was turing around in Glacier Bay. We are now pointed in the direction we came from.

Hope you enjoyed the pics from one of the "coolest" parts of our honeymoon!

Awesome photos! I would have been so nervous around all that ice and being on the ship. I'm sure thats a norm for them though. So neat for you to be saying you and your husband. It took me a loooong time to get used to saying that.lol. Now, I'm trying to get used to saying my daughters. Weird :) Thanks for posting the photos! Love seeing them!
