the package
So i had been waiting on a package from a friend i went to india with for awhile. he had borrowed some books to finish up assignments for a class we took together, and he had agreed to use them for a couple of weeks and then mail them back to me... 1 month later, and i still did not have them...
so i emailed, and i emailed, and i emailed. I even found him on msn (it might not have been him), but no. nothing. i was starting to get a little worried. thinking maybe he's either had no intention of returning the books or forgot, or just plain disappeared. i finally heard back from him last weekend, and he apologised profusely for not remembering about them. he said he was eternally sorry and would include a peace offering for his forgetfulness.
LOL.
I was so incredibly surprised when i received the package, thinking two little books wouldn't require such a large box.

In it, i found my books of course, and then another book, a one eyed monster mask, a jar of homemade strawberry jam, dole strawberry kiwi juice, ... I think thats soap, popcorn, a cheesy horror flick and a piece of art on cloth (probably from Nepal or India)
I laughed. pretty hard. and then decided i was hungry and had a bit of what was probably his mom's jam. mmm.mmm. good.
i'm just glad that the jar didn't break open in the package, cos that would have made it interesting to use those textbooks for the papers that are due August 1st.
Wow. i'm incredibly busy, i have 3 classes to finish off by August 1 (the ones i took in India) and then another one due in the first week of september. I'm looking forward to a bit of a reprieve in the fall perhaps...but knowing me i'll probably still be working pretty hard to graduate by next year.
